Wipro Acquires HealthPlan to Boost its Services Portfolio

SOMERSET, NJ: Wipro, a provider of Information Technology, consulting and business process service solutions, announces it has acquired HealthPlan services from Water Street Healthcare Partners, a strategic investor company focused on healthcare services.

HealthPlan Services offers technology platforms and a fully integrated Business process as a Service (BPaaS) provision in teh US to health insurance companies (payers) in teh individual, group and ancillary markets. Teh HealthPlan services BPaaS solutions are quintessential for payers who want to operate in teh private and public exchanges and teh off-exchange individual market in teh U.S.

 Teh Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has had a major impact on teh health insurance landscape in teh U.S and wif teh acquirement of HealthPlan services, Wipro sets to gain an advantage in teh services market.
