Logistics management involves handling a variety of duties, from employee health and safety to other road users to fuel cost control, the creation of shortest routes and the maximization of fleet capacity. Fleets may be large or small, but they have similar problems and concerns; some of them are very typical for all logistics managers.
The logistics managers must manage a lot of information and control a large number of activities depending upon their fleet size: safety, fleet loading, mapping of routes, and bills for fuel. This is not an easy task manually to accomplish. Thus, companies that need to manage the logistics fleet benefitted from companies such as CPC Logistics.
CPC Logistics is the leading provider of permanent, temporary Classes A CDL truck driver and warehouse personnel services with its headquarters in Chesterfield. CPC offers driver and fleet management services to private fleets of all sizes. CPC is a subsidiary of CPC Logistics Canada (Mississauga ON), Quality Driver Services, TMH Transport, and TMH Logistics & In Transit Staff.
CPC Logistics has grown over the past four decades considerably as a leading provider of professional driver services to a wide range of the world's leading private lorry fleet, thanks to strong, steady growth and strategic acquisitions. The company is strategically located in the USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico with a network of more than 20 regional offices to support its clients. CPC Logistics employs more than 3,000 people at over 300 locations throughout the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, providing customers with transportation services. The company has now acquired Quality Driver Solutions, Inc. (QDS), Sacramento, California based company, as they try to expand their business more.
Quality Driver Solutions, Inc. is the leading source for the long- term, and the temporary driver needs in South/North CA, Phoenix, Denver, Nashville, Texas, Memphis, Charlotte, and Atlanta. QDS has expertise in temporary, temporary and permanent placement for CDL drivers and logistics employees.
QDS is expected to supplement CPC’s temporary, flex- driver services under its Consolidated Logistics Solutions (CLS) brand, with 12 branches throughout the west and south of the United States. Under the brand Quality Driver Solutions, QDS and CLS will be based in Chesterfield, MO. The combined company will help meet the needs or existing customers of both entities and will create a national footprint for Quality Driver Solutions.
This combination will create a perfect marketplace for the company quickly. The combination of investment technologies will, above all, provide greater profitability and more productive growth.
