FREMONT, CA: The IT infrastructure is changing at a rapid pace. The shift in trends is very noticeable; more and more companies are migrating to the cloud and other technologies. Cloud service providers are responding by offering a range of cloud-based technologies. The dynamic IT industry ensures ongoing development from which new techniques and trends keep emerging.

Some of the recent developments in the IT industries that deserve consideration include multi-cloud, serverless architecture, hybrid cloud, and DevSecOps. Multi-cloud refers to a strategy which companies adopt when they do not want to depend on a single cloud platform to store their data and backups. This approach to cloud services is meant to protect the data of the company in case of attacks or breaches.

Serverless architecture or Function-as-a-Service(FaaS) is a method in which third-party service providers host applications for the design of software and companies don't have to buy or rent servers for themselves. This, in turn, allows companies to develop and run codes without having to modify the existing enterprise-based IT infrastructure. It can benefit organizations with small demands.

Hybrid cloud approach is one by which companies are not entirely shifting into a cloud but are opting for a mix of traditional hardware, public cloud, and private cloud infrastructure. Complete migration to the cloud at once might be difficult for companies, and hybrid cloud becomes a preferable option. Some companies also prefer to keep sensitive information in-house due to apprehensions regarding data security, hidden costs of effect on performance. The hybrid cloud approach ensures that companies have flexibility in how they want their IT infrastructure to be.

DevSecOps is the successor of DevOps. DevOps which stood for development operations was a strategy which optimized the lifecycle of development systems along with maintenance. With DevSecOps, developers are taking the next step towards security management. DevSecOps stands for development security operations and is concerned with making security measures like risk monitoring and penetration testing a part of the infrastructure. It allows testing to take place simultaneously while development is in progress, ensuring that threats get eliminated before attacks can happen.

Enterprises can make the most of the new developments in technology by incorporating suitable ones in their business models. Not only does it make the business more streamlined but also delivers profits and growths while enhancing safety.
